I was recently forced to spend an inordinate amount of time on a phone call with one of the largest national US telecom providers, whom I had called, to get additional service and to give them my money. What I had expected to be a quick call, turned out to be anything but that- I was transferred from one salesperson to the other, one department to the other and one advisor to the other-the net result-nothing, nada, zilch.
We are hyper-busy, time-starved, multi-taskers who want to be served right, quickly and efficiently the first time around. Or there will be no next time- where is the customer intimacy if there is no customer. Be personally accountable, take ownership and get the job done, right the first time. As Eminem sang in Lose Yourself ” you only get one shot, one opportunity-are you going to take it ?”
As consumers, we have choices- we have many options today; Service providers- if you snooze, you loose.
